We're always looking for family fun in the Wilmington, DE area. From cheap movies to free museum days, and story times to state parks, we've gathered 20+ free and low-cost things to do with kids in our area!
- State Parks are free from December to March.
- 7th Graders Get A Free YMCA Membership
- $5 Pony Rides at Carousel Park: On Sundays, from 10 am to noon, April through October. Ages 2-8.
- On Thursday nights and Saturday, kids (12 and under) can skate for free. Skate rental is an additional $4.00. Christiana Skating Center, 801 Christiana Rd, Newark, DE 19713.
- The ‘Delaware Library of Things’ is a collection of fun and useful gadgets, tools, games, and equipment you can check out with your Delaware Library Card!
- Make a free craft project at Home Depot on the first Saturday of the month.
- Every Sunday from 2 - 4 pm, Michael's hosts a different craft project for free!
Museums
- $2 Nights at the Delaware Children's Museum: On the third Wednesday of the month, visitors can play for $2 per person from 5-8 pm!
- Check out passes to local attractions and museums from a New Castle Public Library: Participating Museums: Biggs Museum of American Art, Brandywine Conservancy and Museum of Art, Brandywine Zoo, Delaware Historical Society, Delaware State Parks, Hagley Museum & Library, Milton Theatre, Mt. - Check Out The Library: The library offers more than books -- story times, music classes, craft projects, Lego clubs, STEM activities, and movies -- plus, there are plenty of opportunities to connect with other parents.

- Summer Movie Camp® @ AMC: Get tickets for just $3 on Wednesdays and $5 on Saturdays for AMC's Summer Movie Camp!
- $2 Movies at Regal: Every Tuesday and Wednesday, tickets are $2 during the first show of the day.
- Cinemark Summer Movie Clubhouse: Tickets are $1.75 during the first show of the day.
- Kids Bowl Free: Kids (14 & Under) can bowl two FREE games EVERY DAY at participating bowling alleys just for signing up. 6/1 - 9/5.
