Do More 24 Delaware, the state’s premier 24-hour charitable giving event, begins today, March 7, at 6 p.m. and will continue until 6 p.m. on March 8.
Organized jointly by United Way of Delaware (UWDE) and Spur Impact, the 24-hour fundraising marathon motivates everyone to become philanthropists and donate to their favorite nonprofit. During the dynamic event, donors give online at DoMore24Delaware.org and registered nonprofits have the chance to earn more than $350,000 in matching gifts, cash prizes, and grants donated by sponsors from across the state.

“The design of Do More 24 Delaware uniquely amplifies the reach of every donor regardless of how much they give,” said UWDE Chief Operating Officer Dan Cruce. “It’s also proven to be an extremely successful way to spotlight the culture of giving from those that often give, but also for those that give for the first time. In this way, we’re creating new donor bases and teaching our nonprofit partners new ways to grow supporters and revenue.”
The public is invited to tune into the Do More 24 Delaware 24-hour livestream which will begin at 6 p.m. on March 7 and finish just after 6 p.m. on March 8. It will be available at DoMore24Delaware.org. The livestream will feature live fundraising updates and interviews with nonprofits and supporters. Live donation results will also be available at DoMore24Delaware.org throughout the event.

“The next generation of donors is critical to support the growth and sustainability of our Delaware nonprofits,” said Charlie Vincent, Executive Director of Spur Impact. “We encourage every eligible nonprofit in the state to sign up for Do More 24 Delaware and take advantage of the opportunities we have developed to make this year’s giving day as impactful as possible.”
The 2023 event generated more than 17,000 individual donations, raising more than $2.3 million for more than 520 nonprofits statewide. Since the March 2020 event, when UWDE and Spur Impact joined forces, Do More 24 Delaware has raised more than $7.2 million for the nonprofits of Delaware.
The 2024 Do More 24 Delaware giving day is supported by more than two dozen sponsor organizations, including Barclays US Consumer Bank, Discover Bank, Carl M. Freeman Foundation, the Delaware Division of the Arts, Crestlea Foundation, Delaware Community Foundation, Laffey-McHugh Foundation, Longwood Foundation, and Welfare Foundation.
