Claymont Community Center is More Than a Building
CCC is a hub where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to learn, connect, and thrive. For over 50 years, the Center has served as a home for vital programs, partnerships, and community gatherings that strengthen wellness, belonging, and esteem.
PROGRAMMING
- Brandywine Senior Center serves active adults 50 and over for a low annual membership fee. Programs offered weekdays include crafts
(painting, ceramics, jewelry making), games (billiards, cards, puzzles), Bingo, line dancing, local trips, lunch
and much more. Stay in shape in the fitness center and with our exercise and yoga classes included with
membership. - Claymont Community Market & Garden provides food assistance to individuals and families in the local community who find it difficult to afford the food they need. Food support includes meat, dairy, shelf-stable food items, and fresh produce, some grown in the onsite garden. Open by appointment with day and evening pick-up times. Emergency food is also available.
- The Learning Center empowers adults and families to achieve their goals through accessible, high-quality education.
- LIFT (Life Improvement through Facilitated Transformation) Program provides peer recovery services for individuals with substance use disorder (opioids and stimulants), including referrals to treatment; access to life essentials such as food, jobs, housing & transportation; education and overdose prevention & free Narcan.
RENTAL SPACES
The Claymont Community Center offers flexible, affordable rental options that make you feel right at home. With more than 96,000 visitors each year, the Center is a hub of activity and visibility. Agencies, nonprofits, and businesses that lease space benefit from steady foot traffic and a welcoming community atmosphere. They offer both daily/weekly rentals and multi-year lease arrangements:
- Short-Term Rentals: meeting & conference rooms, gymnasium, athletic fields. Perfect for meetings, practices, and special events.
- Long-Term Rentals: Offices and suites available for nonprofits, government agencies, and small businesses, with utilities, parking, elevator access, and cleaning included. Wi-Fi and furniture can be arranged for an additional cost.
