The Born Learning Trail is a series of 10 interactive signs, featuring fun and active learning activities for children and their caregivers.
Written in English and Spanish, each signpost contains a learning prompt, game, or fun activity: hopscotch, dance, observing nature, counting, and more.
In partnership with Aloysius Butler & Clark, William C. Lewis Elementary, West Side Grows, and the City of Wilmington, this park was installed in 2023. Around the country, United Way and its partners have installed 750 trails in local parks, playgrounds, and trails. The Cool Spring's site is home to Delaware's first dual-language Born Learning trail.
