In 2023, the Battery Park Playground was updated with all new equipment. Phase 2 is to create a flagship, destination playground intentionally designed to meet the needs of all children, regardless of physical ability. They are now coordinating a capital project to raise money to build a ship-themed structure of accessible ramps, bridges, and slides grounded in a safe rubberized surface.
