The Pilot School is a private school in Wilmington, DE that specializes in serving children with dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADHD, Auditory Processing Disorder, receptive and/or expressive delays, executive functioning deficits, or sensory integration deficits.

The Pilot School was founded to provide custom-designed, flexible curricula for children ages 5-14 with language-based learning differences. With a 5:1 student-to-teacher ratio, The Pilot School can address the specific learning profile of every child in our program.

All learning activities are guided by professional teaching staff.


The Pilot School Summer Enrichment Camp

This camp offers children an opportunity to learn, play, and grow. Campers benefit from their multi-sensory approach, which offers the opportunity to stay on top of key academic skills in language arts and math without sacrificing all of the fun of traditional summer camp! 



Timing

8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Monday - Friday.

  • Week 1 (June 17-21): Superheroes
  • Week 2 (June 24-28): STEM
  • Week 3 (July 8-12): Color Wars
  • Week 4 (July 15-19) Water.  
  • Week 5 (July 22-26) Camp’s Got Talent


Pricing

  • $525 per week
  • $2,550 – Bundle & Save all five weeks
  • Reservations are refundable up to 2 weeks before camp. Non-refundable 2 weeks before camp.



The Pilot School Reading Immersion Summer Camp

This camp addresses various components of literacy (phonemic awareness, phonics, decoding, fluency, comprehension, and spelling rules) via the Wilson Reading Program. 

The program is taught by certified Wilson Reading Instructors and other evidenced-based programming aligned with the science of reading. 

Timing

Reading Immersion Camp hours are 8:15 am – 11:30 am. The option to stay for the afternoon sessions of traditional camp is available.


Ages

Rising 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders.


Pricing

  • $1,900 – Reading camp for four weeks (8:00 – 11:30)
  • $2,300 – Reading camp for four weeks + afternoon camp (8:00 – 3:00)
  • $2,300 – Reading camp for five weeks (8:00 – 11:30)
  • $2,800 – Reading camp for five weeks + afternoon camp (8:00 – 3:00)
