Black Mothers in Power seeks to eradicate racial health disparities for Black birthing people and Black babies throughout Delaware.


Community Programs

  • Community-Based Postpartum Program: A support group for Black Mothers in the postpartum recovery period. This program is not currently accepting applications. 
  • Community-Based Doula Training Program: This program helps to increase the number of trained and certified Black Doulas in the State of Delaware. The program offers scholarships and tuition-based opportunities. Applications are presently closed and will open back up in 2024.
  • Community-Based Doula Service Program: This program partners with organizations in the community that will hire a Doula to serve a specific population. 


Support Groups

  • Release and Reset: Support Group for Mothers
    • Second Thursday of the month from 6:30 - 8 pm. 
  • BMB Delaware Men's Circle
    • Men need a space to BE: be themselves, be in conversation, be challenged, be educated, be together. These circles bring together men twice a month for conversation, vulnerability, and sharing.
