The Sudsy Mama is a pickup and delivery wash and fold laundry service. Laundry is a time-consuming and tedious chore for families and small businesses.
Dirty laundry is picked up from your porch, washed and folded to perfection, and returned to your doorstep within 24-48 hours. Your laundry preferences- detergents, softeners, dryer sheets, and folding style -are completely customizable.
What area do you cover?
In Delaware, we cover Wilmington, Hockessin, Pike Creek & Greenville.
How much are your services? Or how much does an average load weigh?
We charge $2 per pound. The average load of laundry weighs around 20 lbs.
How did your business get started?
The Sudsy Mama started as a side gig in October of 2023. As a new mom myself, I wanted to do something to help other moms. What is something difficult for all moms? Laundry is ALWAYS on my plate. It just so happened, we love doing laundry at our home and so I decided to throw it out there and see if anyone would want me to do theirs too! It took off very quickly and within four months I quit my full-time job to focus on The Sudsy Mama!
What does your team look like?
Right now, the Sudsy Mama is made up of 3 local moms! We all have littles of our own and know the struggle of keeping up with laundry. Ironically enough, two of us are twin moms!
Where do you see yourself in 6 months? A Year?
In six months, I’d like to service more families and hire a few more moms to join our team! Our services are expanding to include put-away only and in-home folding with put-away. I’d expect to be regularly offer these services within six months.
In a year, I’d love to double in size! Twice the clients, twice the staff. I see a website in our near future with scheduling and payment directly through there, too. I’d also like to work on improving our marketing and branding.
What do your clients say?
Our clients love the service! A lot of our clients are busy moms and this service helps buy them a little extra free time for THEMSELVES. They’ve said this service relieves their stress, gain them some sanity, and helps them to stay on top of the ever-growing laundry pile.
Clients like the quick and easy communication to set up pickups and they appreciate the Sudsy Mama's reliability. The clothing is packaged to make putting away laundry a breeze!
After using our services once, our clients are eager to sign up for a weekly service. It just makes life so much easier!

I have FOUR clients named Meghan! There must be a thing about Meghans and laundry. The weirdest thing I’ve ever found in someone’s laundry was a full Kong dog toy filled with peanut butter!
