Black Mothers in Power (BMIP) is proud to announce the grand opening of a Community Fridge on October 9th at 6pm at the BMIP Center. The event aims to combat food insecurity in the community, especially for Black mothers and families in Delaware.
Food insecurity has been a persistent issue in Delaware, with many families struggling to access nutritious and affordable food. Black mothers are often disproportionately affected by food insecurity, making it difficult to provide for their families and maintain their health and well-being.
The Community Fridge initiative by BMIP is a solution to this problem, providing a free and accessible source of fresh and healthy food for those in need. The fridge will be stocked with items donated by community members and local businesses, ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious meals.
The grand opening event will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, food giveaways, and a celebration of community unity. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the Community Fridge program and how they can support this important initiative.
Black Mothers in Power is dedicated to empowering Black mothers and families in Delaware, and the Community Fridge is just one way that the organization is making a positive impact in the community. By coming together to support each other, we can create a more equitable and thriving community for all.
