4th of July Fireworks

Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park

2:00 pm - 9:00 pm

This family-friendly 4th kicks off at 2:00 PM with live music, delicious food, interactive games, and activities. Take a tour of the Kalmar Nyckel ship, indulge in food and merchandise from vendors along Rosa Parks Drive, and join in sports games and creative art-making throughout the park.

July 4th - Free Ship Tours - Kalmar Nyckel

Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park

2:00-6:00pm

Explore The Tall Ship of Delaware on a free guided deck tour and discover her remarkable story. Fun for fans of all ages (best for ages 3 and above).


Log Cabin Build-Off at Fort Christina

Fort Christina Park

10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Visit Fort Christina Park on Independence Day! Build your own log cabin on a map of Fort Christina using our Lincoln Logs. 


4th of July Cannon Firings

Hagley Museum & Library

1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Have a blast during your visit to Hagley with a demonstration of their signal cannon! Demonstrations take place at 1, 2, and 3 p.m. 

Cost: Included with admission and free for Hagley members.


4th Of July Fireworks at UD

University of Delaware, Athletic Complex

6:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Vendors and performers start at 6 pm.


Hockessin 4th of July Parade and Fireworks

Old Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE

3:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Start your holiday weekend off with a bang with a Firecracker 5K on the 29th. The parade starts at 3 pm, and features local bands, leagues, and businesses. Fireworks start at dusk.
